The Board of Directors of Richfield Living has announced the selection of George L. Child as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Child replaces George “Skip” Zubrod, who has served as Interim CEO since October 2014.
Child brings a rich background of service to the Richfield community. As a former health care consultant and long-term executive with Adventist HealthCare in Gaithersburg, Maryland, most recently as President of their Senior Living Division, he brings extensive experience working across the healthcare continuum. During his career with Adventist, he achieved outstanding results in providing high quality resident-focused care while achieving significant growth in services.
“We are very pleased to have George lead our organization. His record of high quality resident service, organizational growth and stewardship will serve Richfield well”, stated Dr. David Gring, Vice Chairman of the Richfield Living Board of Directors and Chair of the CEO Search Committee.
“Richfield Living is a wonderful organization with a rich history, strong values and I am excited to be part of their future”, Child said. “I am looking forward to getting to know our residents, families, employees, physicians, volunteers and community partners.”
“We are extremely pleased to welcome Mr. Child to his new leadership position at Richfield,” says Stewart Bruce, Chairman of the Richfield Living Board of Directors. “His extensive experience and accomplishments will enhance our commitment to excellence for our residents across campus and is aligned with the vision, mission and purpose of Richfield Living.”
