Richfield Living Appoints New Senior Director of Marketing and Philanthropy

“Joining the Richfield Living leadership team feels like connecting with a welcoming family,” Lisa said. “The commitment to the residents of Richfield Living shines through and I am excited to share that culture with others.”

Richfield Living would like to announce the selection of Lisa Clause as our new Senior Director of Marketing and Philanthropy.

Lisa, who joined our team in December, has a Master’s in Business Administration, with distinction, from Liberty University, and a Bachelor’s in Marketing with a minor in Professional and Technical Writing from Virginia Tech.

“We are excited to add Lisa to our leadership team,” said George Child, President & Chief Executive Officer. “She adds twenty-five years’ experience of marketing senior living in our local community and has a heart for philanthropic efforts. She enhances the organization’s direction for the future.”

Beginning her career at the Roanoke Times, Lisa then moved to WSET-Television. As a marketing specialist she worked with local businesses to develop marketing plans and execute successful marketing campaigns. Later, she was promoted to Regional Sales Manager and then National Sales Manager to coordinate and oversee advertising for the television station. This role included managing the efficiency of large budgets to generate and meet specific goals.

After rejoining the Roanoke Times as a National Consultant, regaining clients and resolving past dues in excess of $200K, Lisa made a career change to co-own Fine Line Interiors, LLC, a business that designs and fabricates fine interiors including bespoke cabinetry and furniture, with her husband. As Chief Financial Officer, she managed funding, marketing, sub-contracts, and accounting.

In time Lisa rejoined the corporate world as Professional Development Coordinator at Carilion Clinic. During her tenure, she oversaw the creation of the department’s internal web page and assisted with the development of the company’s website. Next, in her position as Marketing Manager at Amerigroup Insurance, Lisa developed best practices for marketing to the Medicaid population. This business was sold to Inova Health Systems and later to United Healthcare. Throughout the buyouts Lisa led the marketing efforts to navigate change in this highly competitive field. Most recently she built relationships with retirement communities to promote awareness of Medicaid and Medicare services.

“I enjoy working with a strong team to improve the community for our seniors and their families,” Lisa said. “Richfield Living has a resident-focused model of care that resonates with how I want to use my talents.”

Completing her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in August of 2018 with a 4.0, Lisa was inducted into the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society. The degree culminated with a capstone team project for which she was nominated as the leader of the MBA team.

We are excited to begin 2019 with a team member of Lisa’s caliber at the helm of our marketing and philanthropic departments.
