Gretchen J. is a resident of Knollwood independent living apartments. She moved to the mountains of Virginia five years ago from the prairies of South Dakota to be closer to family. She laughs and says that one of her sons got the short straw. After a time here, she even sold her car since transportation is provided. Gretchen is active in the Communications Committee and the Spirited Life Committee among other interests.
