Richfield Living To Host Annual Celebration of Life and Lights

On Thursday, November 14th, Richfield Living celebrates our annual tradition “A Celebration of Life and Lights.” The event is a time to honor those residents who have passed within the year with a symbolic bulb, illuminated on our 20ft Tree of Life and Lights”, the holiday centerpiece of our Salem campus.

The lighting ceremony, sponsored by John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, is followed by complimentary hot chocolate and cookies provided by SERVPRO. A message of remembrance will be provided by Richfield Living Chaplain Gary Kingery, and live music will be performed. This event is open to the public.

“We are pleased to partner with Richfield,” says Jon Wilson, VP/General Manager of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home. “This is our community, our family and friends. It is an honor to help bring comfort and healing to the families we serve and the greater community.”

Richfield Interim President & CEO, CFO Cherie Grisso shares that Richfield Living is honored to provide homes for so many individuals from the community. We are grateful to host an event that celebrates these lives with family and friends.”

Contributions are being directed to the Richfields Assisted Living Legacy Fund, unless otherwise directed by the donors. Each year, Richfield Living subsidizes, on average, over $273,000 in unreimbursed costs for benevolent care.
